Adal believes that all communities, irrespective of race, faith, colour, gender, economic status and political stands have the right to choose standard of living. Inspired by this nobility of human spirit, the organization undertakes its development and relief initiatives in partnership with organizations, predominantly aiming to assist the communities in improving the quality of their life by enhancing their access to basic rights such as clean drinking water, food, health, shelter, education, etc. and encouraging them to participate in the development process.

We respect the knowledge and values of communities and believe that developmental efforts must recognize the importance of culture as a political force. At the same time it is vital to understand that the individuality of cultures may be used as an argument to extend the power of people/groups at the expense of others. We hold that development, while affecting the existing balance of society must lead to a more even, just and balanced society.
